“My team is an endo star team. They always share how much they love working here at BEC,” says Karen Fioriglio, nurse manager/administrator at Bethlehem Endoscopy Center in Bethlehem, Pa.

“I am so very proud of them and feel a real connection to each and every staff person and want the outside world to recognize them also. I thought this would be a good way to show them how very much they are valued and appreciated,” she adds.

“This is the best job that I’ve ever had!” That’s what the staff at Bethlehem Endoscopy Center (BEC) has to say about their work. The physicians and nursing staff opened the doors to the center in 2002, and most of the original staff has remained intact, largely due to their esprit de corps. With flexible scheduling, competitive salaries and benefits, a brightly decorated environment, and state-of-the-art equipment, the workplace is somewhere that everyone looks forward to spending their day. Celebrations of small successes or a job well done are welcome rewards, too, notes Fioriglio.

The culture at BEC is warm and friendly. “The physicians are caring professionals with superior technical skills, who make the staff proud to be a member of the facility’s team,” she explains.

The nursing staff comes from varied backgrounds, and members of the team are cross-trained to work wherever they are needed.

“They each bring their own gifts to contribute to a successful and positive work environment,” Fioriglio says. “The camaraderie, sense of humor and teamwork is evident to the clients because they have often commented, ‘You’re having so much fun here! Can I work here too?’ or ‘This is the only place that I look forward to coming for a procedure.’ Since all members of the team collaborate to make decisions that affect the topnotch care provided to the client, the employees feel appreciated and valued for their talents.”

The staff at Bethlehem Endoscopy Center is very proud of their facility and the work that they perform. “They also feel that the BEC team is like family. It’s definitely an All- Star team!” she concludes.

Byrne Medical, Inc., salutes the staff of the Bethlehem Endoscopy Center for their hard work and commitment to exemplary patient care. The team will receive a commemorative plaque in celebration of their EndoNurse All-Star recognition.
