The V-System incorporates an Olympus duodenoscope and Olympus EndoTherapy devices, and helps simplify and streamline Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio-Pancreatography (ERCP). The V-System features an exclusive V-shaped groove on the duodenoscope’s elevator (V-Scope) that locks the LinearGuide-V™ guidewire, allowing for easier device exchange.

The proprietary V-System is designed for simplicity and choice while maintaining the clinical results expected from Olympus. Each accessory has a C-Hook that allows it to be attached to the V-Scope just below the instrument channel port. This allows the endoscopist greater device control and the ability to maneuver the guidewire, inject contrast media, and manipulate the sphincterotome — all while keeping a grip on the scope control section. The design of the V-System also allows the handle to be separated, so if the physician chooses, control of specific devices can also be given to the assistant.
