CBSPD’s Technician, Supervisor and Manager Certification Examinations Re-Accredited Through 2013

ALPHA, N.J. —  The board of directors of the Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD) announces that the Technician, Supervisor and Manager certification examinations have received full re-accreditation from the National Commission for Certifying Agencies until May 31, 2013.

In its letter to the CBSPD, the NCCA indicated “The NCCA appreciates the continued interest of the CBSPD in providing high quality certification programs.”   As a result of the re-accreditation, the CBSPD can advertise that the Technician, Supervisor and Manager certification programs are accredited by the NCCA and the CBSPD may use the NCCA logo to attest accreditation.

According to Nancy Chobin, RN, AAS, ACSP, CSPDM, executive director of the CBSPD, this re-accreditation validates the processes implemented by the CBSPD in 1988 when the organization was formed and are followed to this day.
