US Endoscopy Announces Full Market Release of Mio™ Medical Device Organizer
04/18/2007
MENTOR, Ohio — Few options are available for efficient device storage during endoscopy procedures. When not in use, devices may fall to the floor or leave residual biomaterial on the surrounding area. For endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and other procedures that require multiple device exchanges, it is convenient to keep them close at hand and ready for use. As a solution, US Endoscopy announces the official launch of the Mio™ medical device organizer. The Mio offers three oversized, sterile pouches for endoscopic devices and supplies that can inadvertently fall on the floor, get misplaced, tangled, or damaged throughout a procedure. The Mio is water-resistant, with adhesive backing to easily adhere to a countertop, cart, or endoscopy trolley. The benefits include convenience, performance, and time savings, as it is easy to set up before a procedure and disposable for a quick clean up after the procedure. "The Mio offers clinicians a simple way to keep accessories organized and readily available; it can serve as an extra hand in the busy endoscopy suite," said Gulam Khan, US Endoscopy CEO and co-chairman.
