Instrument Specialists Inc. Awarded MedAssets Supply Chain Systems' Platinum Vendor Designation

05/12/2008

BOERNE, Texas -- Instrument Specialists Inc. (ISI) announced it recently earned MedAssets Supply Chain Systems’ Platinum Vendor status. The platinum level is the highest vendor designation awarded by MedAssets Supply Chain Systems, a MedAssets company. Seventy-one vendors were awarded the Platinum Vendor designation at the MedAssets Healthcare Business Summit in Las Vegas in March 2008, attended by more than 3,000 healthcare professionals.

The award recognizes outstanding vendors and is based on improving customer savings and customer satisfaction, filing reports and submitting fee schedules in a timely manner, continuous growth in purchase volume, and supporting MedAssets’ philanthropic efforts.

Instrument Specialists Inc. manufactures specialty surgical products, primarily for hand and upper extremity. Surgical tables, finger traps, hand immobilizers, traction products and more are available through ISI. All products are under contract with MedAssets and receive a discount and free ground freight.

Recently, ISI added the company’s repair services to its MedAssets contract. Now ISI’s complete repair services for flexible endoscopes, rigid endoscopes, surgical cameras, handpieces, and other surgical equipment is available to MedAssets customers.
