US Endoscopy Releases New Snare

08/14/2008

MENOR, Ohio — US Endoscopy today announced an addition to the iSnare® system product collection. The iSnare® system is now available with a stiffer, hexagonal snare to provide a better grip on broad-based sessile polyps or lesions.

The iSnare® system facilitates injection therapy and subsequent snaring in one device. According to a US Endoscopy press release, the product eliminates multiple instrument exchanges.

The release also claims that the dual lumen system minimizes saline bleb loss due to dissipation or absorption during saline injection polypectomy and endoscopic mucosal resection procedures. The system can be used during various procedures that require an injection needle and snare.

US Endoscopy serves the U.S. and international gastrointestinal endoscopy markets.
