MENTOR, Ohio -- US Endoscopy announced the official launch of the BioVac™ direct suction device. Originally developed for immediate evacuation needs during bleed cases, the BioVac is designed to empower your endoscope with unprecedented suction volume and intensity.

The BioVac offers efficiencies for both emergency and routine procedures, enabling swift removal of biomaterial by way of the scope’s biopsy channel and direct connection to the main wall suction. Bypassing the scope’s control head, this disposable device provides considerable suction volume and power, eliminating clogging often associated with the scope’s trumpet valves. Under direct visualization, the BioVac offers instant confirmation that blood, blood clots or residual loose stool have been removed, providing endoscopists valuable time to focus on the patient’s diagnosis and/or treatment.
