ALPHARETTA, Ga.―EndoChoice, Inc. announced this week that it's being recognized by Georgia Bio as the 2011 "Deal of the Year" for pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical companies. EndoChoice is the sole recipient in the "fast-growing companies" category. Other categories are public and private financings; acquisitions; and SBIR grants.

Georgia Bio's annual Deal of the Year awards recognize transactions by life-sciences companies in Georgia that are significant to the state's industrial development. EndoChoice and other recipients will receive their awards at the Georgia Bio annual awards dinner, Jan. 26, at Atlanta's Fox Theater.

"We are very pleased to be recognized by Georgia Bio with this award," said CEO and Founder Mark Gilreath. "Our dramatic growth has been a validation of the tremendous need in healthcare for an efficient business partner that delivers innovative solutions with a superior customer experience."

Georgia Bio is a private, non-profit association representing pharmaceutical, biotech and medical-device companies, medical centers, universities, research institutes, government groups and other organizations involved in the development of products that improve the health and well-being of people, animals and the environment.
