MENTOR, Ohio—US Endoscopy, a company that focuses on the design and manufacturing of endoscopy devices, this week announced the release of the InStream™ polyp trap. The InStream™ polyp trap minimizes exposure to biomaterial when retrieving tissue specimen and is an economical alternative to other polyp or mucous traps, US Endoscopy reports.
The InStream™ polyp trap features a specimen screen that allows for easy isolation and removal of the polyp, according to US Endoscopy.
“Sifting through biomaterial to locate and retrieve a tissue specimen is a frustrating process for clinicians," said Gulam Khan, US Endoscopy CEO, president, and co-chairman. “The InStream™ polyp trap eliminates this step in an easy and cost effective way."
US Endoscopy started in 1991 and serves U.S. and international gastrointestinal endoscopy markets.
