CHICAGO—The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, Inc. (SGNA) will host a webinar on Thursday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. Central Time that will present valuable information on the SGNA Standards of Infection Control in Reprocessing of Flexible Gastrointestinal Endoscopes (2012). This is the third webinar in a series of four.
The webinar features speakers who will cover infection-prevention education in three different ways:
• David Greenwald, MD, will explain why proper infection control and reprocessing are so important.
• Michelle Day, MSN, RN, CGRN, SGNA practice committee chair, will provide an overview of the Standards of Infection Control document.
• Barbara Zuccala, MSN, RN, CGRN, SGNA Practice Committee member, will discuss how to implement this standard into a facility.
The webinar is free for SGNA members and $10 for non-members.
A recording of this webinar will be available in November 2012 in SGNA’s eLearning Center. SGNA members may access the recording for free for one year. Non-members may purchase the eLearning module for $20.
