Bowel Prep (Colonoscopy Prep)
The key to an effective colonoscopy is good bowel preparation. Patients have many options, some of which work better for certain patients than for others. Some bowel preps include Golytely, Colyte, Nulytely, phospho-soda, sodium phosphate tablets, Osmo-Prep and Visicol. These induce bowel movements so the digestive tract is largely empty and is then visible through the camera during colonoscopy.
