Endoscopy is the backbone of modern disease detection and includes several formats that are utilized throughout the body, incuding endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, gastroscopy, enteroscopy, esophogealgastroduodenoscopy (EGD, or upper endoscopy), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), among others.
